I am the Training Director at PRISM Star Training, with a professional background spanning health and social care leadership, workforce development, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and specialist training delivery. Over the years, I have worked across supported living, residential care, domiciliary care, and mental health services, developing a strong understanding of the real challenges faced by frontline staff, leaders, and organisations within the sector. My focus has always been on improving the quality of care through practical, engaging, and values-driven training that has a genuine impact on day-to-day practice.

I am an Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Tier 2 Lead Trainer and Tier 1 Facilitator, as well as a qualified Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer (IQA). Alongside my professional experience, I also bring lived experience of ADHD and Autism, which gives me a personal insight into the importance of communication, sensory needs, reasonable adjustments, and truly person-centred support. I am passionate about helping organisations move beyond “tick-box” training and instead develop compassionate, reflective cultures where neurodiversity is understood, respected, and valued.

Throughout my career, I have combined operational leadership experience with a strong commitment to workforce development, supporting teams to build confidence in areas such as safeguarding, PBS, least restrictive practice, communication, and supporting behaviours of concern. At PRISM Star Training, my vision is to create high-quality learning experiences that empower staff, strengthen organisations, and ultimately improve the lives of the people they support. I believe the best training comes from a combination of professional expertise, practical experience, and authentic understanding — helping teams connect theory to real-world care and support.

Brett Young is an experienced qualified Social Worker, health and social care leader, and training professional with over 21 years of experience across mental health, learning disabilities, supported living, residential care, domiciliary care, children’s services, and local authority adult social care services. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to improving the quality of care through strong leadership, workforce development, and values-driven practice.

Brett has held senior management roles within local authority services, leading multidisciplinary teams, supporting complex service delivery, and working in partnership with health professionals, providers, commissioners, and safeguarding services to improve outcomes for individuals with complex needs.

As Managing Director of PRISM Star Training, Brett combines extensive operational leadership experience with specialist training expertise to deliver practical, engaging, and person-centred learning that supports organisations to build confident, compassionate, and skilled teams.

He is passionate about helping organisations move beyond “tick-box” training and developing positive workplace cultures where staff feel empowered, reflective, and equipped to deliver high-quality care and support.

Christopher Robertson is an experienced Operations Director with a strong background in mental health, commissioning, quality assurance, and senior operational leadership. With over 15 years in the sector, he has worked across the NHS, Local Authorities, voluntary organisations, and independent care services, giving him a deep and well?rounded understanding of the health and social care landscape.

As Operations Director for Prism Star Training, he provides strategic leadership that strengthens quality, compliance, and workforce development across the organisation.

He is passionate about developing people, improving care quality, and embedding values?led, person?centred practice across teams and services. Christopher specialises in translating complex regulatory requirements into practical, accessible learning that supports staff at all levels to build confidence and deliver safe, high?quality care.

With extensive expertise in CQC compliance, safeguarding, and service improvement, Christopher delivers training that is engaging, grounded in real?world operational experience, and focused on empowering leaders and frontline practitioners to achieve meaningful, sustainable change.
