PRISM STAR TRAINING
FAA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (RQF)
The FAA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety is a regulated qualification designed to develop workplace fire safety awareness and support organisations in meeting their legal fire safety responsibilities. This practical course equips learners with the knowledge and confidence to identify fire hazards, understand fire prevention measures, support emergency procedures, and carry out designated fire safety roles such as Fire Warden or Fire Marshal. Suitable for a wide range of workplaces, the qualification helps create safer working environments, strengthens organisational compliance, and promotes a proactive approach to fire prevention and emergency response.
Fire safety is a critical responsibility within every workplace. Employers have a legal duty to ensure appropriate fire prevention measures, emergency procedures, and staff training are in place to reduce the risk of injury, loss of life, damage to property, and disruption to business operations. The FAA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety provides learners with the essential knowledge and practical understanding required to support safer working environments and assist organisations in meeting their statutory fire safety responsibilities.
This regulated qualification is designed to develop fire safety awareness while equipping learners with the skills needed to undertake more specific fire safety responsibilities within the workplace, such as acting as a Fire Warden, Fire Marshal, or Fire Steward. The course explores the causes of workplace fires, methods of fire prevention and control, evacuation procedures, and the principles of effective fire safety management.
Rather than focusing solely on theory, this course provides practical, workplace-focused learning that helps staff understand their responsibilities during both routine operations and emergency situations. Learners will gain confidence in recognising fire hazards, supporting evacuation procedures, understanding firefighting equipment, and contributing to safer organisational practices.
By completing this qualification, organisations can strengthen workplace safety culture, improve compliance with fire safety legislation, and ensure staff feel confident responding appropriately in the event of a fire emergency.
