FAA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness (RQF)
The FAA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness is a regulated qualification designed to provide employees with a practical introduction to workplace fire safety. Ideal as part of staff induction or refresher training, this course develops essential awareness around fire prevention, emergency procedures, evacuation protocols, and individual responsibilities within the workplace. Learners will gain the confidence to identify common fire hazards, understand how fires spread, respond appropriately during emergencies, and contribute towards maintaining safer working environments. The qualification supports organisations in meeting their statutory fire safety obligations while promoting a proactive culture of workplace safety.
ire safety awareness is an essential part of maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. Employers have a legal responsibility to ensure staff understand fire prevention measures, emergency procedures, and their role in reducing fire risks within the working environment. The FAA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness provides learners with the foundational knowledge needed to contribute towards safer workplaces and support organisational fire safety procedures.
This regulated qualification is designed as an introduction to workplace fire safety and is particularly suitable for new employees, induction programmes, and organisations looking to strengthen overall fire safety awareness across their workforce. The course explores the common causes of workplace fires, the behaviour of fire, fire prevention measures, emergency evacuation procedures, and the safe use of firefighting equipment.
Rather than focusing solely on legislation and theory, this practical course helps learners understand how fire safety principles apply within real workplace environments. Staff will develop confidence in recognising hazards, responding appropriately during emergencies, and understanding how their actions contribute to protecting people, property, and business continuity.
By completing this qualification, organisations can strengthen their safety culture, improve compliance with workplace fire safety legislation, and help ensure employees are prepared to respond safely and effectively in the event of a fire emergency.
