PRISM STAR TRAINING
FAA Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)
The FAA Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is a regulated qualification designed to provide learners with a deeper understanding of workplace health and safety responsibilities, risk assessment processes, hazard control, and accident prevention. Suitable for employees across all sectors, particularly those with supervisory or health and safety responsibilities, this course supports organisations in creating safer, more compliant working environments. Ideal for managers, supervisors, safety representatives, and employees looking to progress their health and safety knowledge, this qualification helps strengthen workplace safety culture, reduce risks, and support compliance with UK health and safety legislation.
Health and safety plays a critical role in protecting employees, visitors, contractors, and organisations across all workplace environments. Employers have legal responsibilities under UK health and safety legislation to provide safe working conditions, while employees also have duties to follow procedures, identify risks, and contribute towards maintaining safe and healthy workplaces. The FAA Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace provides learners with the essential knowledge and understanding needed to support workplace safety, reduce risks, and contribute towards organisational compliance.
This regulated qualification is designed for learners working within a variety of industries and workplace settings and is particularly beneficial for those who may be taking on additional health and safety responsibilities, such as safety representatives, supervisors, or team leaders. The course explores workplace duties and responsibilities, risk assessment processes, hazard identification and control, accident prevention, and incident response procedures.
Rather than focusing solely on legislation and theory, this practical qualification helps learners understand how health and safety principles apply within real workplace environments. Staff will develop confidence in recognising hazards, understanding risk control measures, supporting safer working practices, and contributing towards positive health and safety culture within their organisation.
By completing this qualification, organisations can improve workplace awareness, strengthen compliance, reduce accidents and incidents, and support safer, healthier, and more efficient working environments.
