Ensuring effective health and safety management within the workplace is essential for every organisation. Strong health and safety practices help protect employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public, while also reducing the risk of accidents, legal action, reputational damage, and financial loss. The FAA Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace provides learners with the advanced knowledge and practical understanding required to support and manage health and safety responsibilities across a wide range of workplace settings.
This regulated qualification is specifically designed for supervisors, managers, and individuals preparing to take on health and safety responsibilities within their organisation. The course develops a strong understanding of health and safety legislation, welfare requirements, risk assessments, accident investigation, workplace hazards, safety management systems, and best practice approaches to reducing workplace risks and promoting safer working environments.
Rather than focusing solely on legislation and theory, this practical qualification explores how health and safety management applies within real workplace environments. Learners will develop confidence in identifying hazards, implementing suitable control measures, supporting compliance, managing incidents, and promoting positive safety culture throughout their organisation.
The course also explores key workplace topics including manual handling, fire safety, hazardous substances, workplace wellbeing, electrical safety, and the safe use of work equipment.
