PRISM STAR TRAINING

Acquired Brain Injury Awareness

An acquired brain injury can change how someone communicates, remembers information and manages everyday situations. Help your team look beyond the diagnosis and understand how thoughtful adjustments can support the person's choices, relationships and participation in daily life.

An acquired brain injury can change how someone communicates, remembers information and manages everyday situations. Help your team look beyond the diagnosis and understand how thoughtful adjustments can support the person's choices, relationships and participation in daily life.

Consider how changes in cognition and behaviour may affect familiar routines, and why support should reflect the person's previous experiences and current strengths. Practical discussion connects awareness with communication, consistent support and the importance of involving the person and those who know them well.
