Bipolar disorder can involve significant changes in mood, energy and everyday functioning. Develop understanding that helps your team listen without judgement, recognise individual support needs and offer consistent, respectful support during both settled periods and times of difficulty.

Consider how experiences differ between people and why familiar routines, communication preferences and individual plans matter. Relatable care scenarios encourage staff to reflect on changing needs, partnership working and the importance of sharing concerns appropriately while keeping the person's wishes and dignity central.

CARE PROVIDERS, FOR CARE PROVIDERS

Learning connected to everyday practice

Our work in care services reminds us how much thoughtful listening, early recognition of changes and an appropriate response can matter. We bring that perspective to learning about mental health, with a focus on understanding people, supporting conversations and recognising when further help is needed.
