PRISM STAR TRAINING
Schizophrenia Awareness
Schizophrenia can affect people in different ways, and a diagnosis does not define the individual. Build understanding that helps staff listen compassionately, recognise personal strengths and offer consistent support, with attention to the person's relationships, routines and own account of their experience.
Schizophrenia can affect people in different ways, and a diagnosis does not define the individual. Build understanding that helps staff listen compassionately, recognise personal strengths and offer consistent support, with attention to the person's relationships, routines and own account of their experience.
Explore how language, assumptions and the environment can influence everyday interactions. Practical reflection connects awareness with respectful communication, agreed support arrangements and appropriate sharing of concerns, helping teams recognise when changes may need further attention while maintaining the person's dignity and involvement.

CARE PROVIDERS, FOR CARE PROVIDERS
Learning connected to everyday practice
Our work in care services reminds us how much thoughtful listening, early recognition of changes and an appropriate response can matter. We bring that perspective to learning about mental health, with a focus on understanding people, supporting conversations and recognising when further help is needed.
