Supportive supervision helps staff reflect, understand expectations and develop their practice. Explore how to make supervision conversations useful and consistent, combining clear feedback with space to discuss challenges, recognise strengths and agree realistic actions for the period ahead.

Consider preparation, confidentiality and the difference between a meaningful conversation and simply completing a record. Practical examples focus on listening, following up agreed actions and identifying support needs, helping supervisors connect individual development with the experience of the people their team supports.
